Lane closures begin May 5

Hwy 210 reduced to one lane each way from west of Hwy 371 to Timberwood Dr. as crews complete work.

Expect reduced speeds, lane shifts and changes to local access as follows:

Weekdays

• Mon-Thurs: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Fri: 7 a.m. to noon

Note: Back-ups or sudden stops may occur at peak commuter times for work or school

Open weekends

• All lanes open, includes Open Fishing/Mothers Day Weekend, Memorial Day and Fourth of July

Local access

• Access will close to/from Hwy 210 at times; follow directional road signs along the north or south frontage roads or seek own routes

Resurface, improve access

MnDOT will resurface both directions of Hwy 210 through Baxter between Baxter Dr. and Timberwood Dr., and improve access and traffic flow west of Highland Scenic Dr. at Memorywood Dr.

Summary of work

Hwy 210

• Resurface the asphalt road between Baxter Dr. and Timberwood Dr., includes turn lanes, shoulders and adjacent entrances



• Improve access and traffic flow on the west end at Memorywood Dr. between Highland Scenic Dr. (Co. Rd. 48) and Meredith Dr. as follows:
  • Westbound Hwy 210: Reconfigure to merge/reduce from two lanes to one lane west of Highland Scenic Dr.
  • Eastbound Hwy 210: Reconstruct the median to add an acceleration lane at Memorywood Dr.
  • Layout image of future access on west end (JPG)
• Install a new signal system at Highland Scenic Dr.
• Relocate pipes beneath the Hwy 210 median west of Memorywood Dr.
• Update pedestrian access
