Building Services Section
Goal
The goal of the Building Services Section is to ensure that all MnDOT buildings are designed and constructed following applicable building code, energy code, and other regulatory permitting requirements.
Products the section provides
- Provides a building construction and asset preservation program
- Provides essential services: architectural, electrical, mechanical, structural, building drinking water and wastewater treatment systems, building automation systems, building plumbing systems, and building labor compliance
- Provides program and pre-design services for new and renovated buildings and sites
- Hires and coordinates consultants for large capital and specialty projects
- Manages construction documents, bid letting and construction administration
- Maintains building data to track building conditions and deferred maintenance
- Manages and tracks building energy use
