Capital Highway Program Management Sub-Section

Goal

The Capital Highway Program Management Sub-Section ensures projects are successfully programmed, authorized, entered in CHIMES and federal requirements are met for all projects, including major projects. This sub-section leads the oversight of federal highway funds, State Road Construction budget and Capital Highway Bond management for the agency.

  • Assistance with remaining balances or commitments for the Corridors of Commerce Program funding
  • Assistance with bond funded projects

Capital Systems

  • Maintain and record data for the Capital Highway Program and other projects
  • Provide a centralized data resource for program, funding details, approvals, letting, total cost estimates and actual costs
  • Comprehensive reporting data from the CHIMES system to aid in project decisions and reach targeted goals

  • Project documentation to consolidate within CHIMES
  • Details regarding any Reporting needs

Federal Authorizations

  • Ensure authorizations are completed and provided to the unit in a timely fashion
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to the unit regarding questions about the project authorization process, federal project numbers and locations
