2025 bridge work

MnDOT will update and improve eight Hwy 169 bridges (four in each direction) through Princeton in 2025.
Lane closures begin April 21
- April 21 to late May: Motorists to encounter periodic single-lane closures at off-peak hours as crews prepare the work zone; includes temporary crossovers and widening for future two-way traffic
- Late May to late October: Plan for delays and seek alternate routes. Motorists can expect 24-7 head-to-head traffic on Hwy 169 through Princeton

Summary of work
- Resurface bridge decks (replace concrete wearing coarse) over:
- Rum River Dr. (Co. Rd. 29)
- West Branch Rum River
- Co. Rd. 31 (1st St.)
- S Rum River Dr. (Co. Rd. 29)
- Replace or repair approach panels, concrete joints, catch basins and guardrail, along with any other needed repairs
