What we do
As part of MnDOT's Environmental Stewardship Office, the Environmental Assessment Unit provides technical support for MnDOT Districts and other stakeholders in the areas of aquatic resources, wetland mitigation, stormwater requirements, and wildlife, including federally threatened and endangered species. We also review and approve environmental documents (EISs, Environmental Assessments and Categorical Exclusions) and provide guidance on the interpretation of NEPA and MEPA regulations.
