Advocacy Council for Tribal Transportation
We discuss roadway policy and issues involving roadways on or near Indian reservations. Representatives from the 11 Tribal nations that share geography with Minnesota make up our voting membership. Our other members include representatives from MnDOT, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Minnesota Indian Affairs Council, Federal Highway Administration - Minnesota Division, United States Forest Service, and Minnesota counties and cities.
Mission
We are committed to bring recommendations to improve Tribal transportation through effective collaboration and partnerships.
- Assess and evaluate common Tribal issues
- Develop statewide policy and/or legislation
- Create awareness and educate on issues
- Identify and promote successful practices
Meetings
We meet quarterly, rotating between Tribal locations and elsewhere around the state.
